What is PBIS?

PBIS

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is based on a problem solving model and aims to prevent inappropriate behavior through teaching and reinforcing appropriate behaviors.

What Does This Mean....
PBIS means that teachers, administrators, and support staff are going to take the time to TEACH positive behavior expectations to all students.

PBIS means that students will know exactly what is expected of them and will be recognized and rewarded when they meet those expectations. Students who choose not to meet school wide expectations will be given logical consequences intended to reinforce expected behaviors.
